HUGE Chanel Bag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Used for Visual Merchandising at New York City, 5th Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman. Even though it’s just a prop, it’s worth noticing!!

♥ Rad by Rad hourani

My love of Daphne Guniess and Parisian street style, has influenced me to be partical to a darker colour palette. It makes it easier to throw everything together being uncomplicated but elegant. Main emphasis is on texture, layering different fabrics. Found that the key is true investment pieces teaming up with an array of accessories. This way dont become a slave to the industry’s mecurial and possibly bankrupting temperament. Love trying to recreate piece of cascading folded couture artistry influenced by YSL, Philip Lim and Alexander Wang, by layering and altering. I try to create elegance on a budget! I also gain alot more influences from menswear and the far east street style rather than womenswear. My signiture piece is definatly my oversized black patent bag i adore!!!

Rad by Rad hourani clearly displays the layering effect how the simpliest items can be manipulated to create a sophisticated elegant look with an unusual twist.

The connection between Fashion and Beauty

A week today i will be entering the world of cosmetics starting my years internship at Loreal UK.

Fashion is about Visual appearance. You forgot to take into account the time spent in perfecting each look. Hair and makeup play a huge part in perfecting a look/theme/ act we are trying to portray. The connection of fashion and beauty is parallel. The main focus at this fall's S/S 2010 fashion week's has been centrally around effortless perfection. However dramatic colour was also combined with Orange lips seen at Prada and rouge at Dolce and Gabbana. Victor and Rolf and Gareth Pugh showed the most dramatic looks with the use of high contrast colours and shades.
Pugh whitened his models faces with shades of greys round their eyes. Victor and Rolf used variations of colours round the eyes. For another season the focal point on most runway shows was the eyes

Showstudio- Fashion Revolution @ Somerset House

Went to view the major Exhibit at London's Somerset House. The exhibit is a retrospective of nine years of online innovation and creation. Showcasing 20 projects. The exhibit was both ground breaking and inspirational.

Loved the idea of the participation project 'Taking more Liberty's by Ross Phillips.
Based on spontaneous creativity, in association with the London Store Liberty's on Regent Street. Inviting passers by to capture their look. The best looks were shortlisted by Katy england and the winners received £300 of Liberty's vouchers. Just showed the strength of the streets for Fashion Imagery.

Favorites ☺

Mary Katrantzo's print designs are both eye catching and unique

Inspired by Queen Tin-Hinan - a Tuareg heroine who reigned during the Fifth Century . Todd Lynn S/S 2010, had his signature slick and sharp tailoring but gave it an unstructured edge, with gathered tube dresses bunching at the waist and at the hip, under super-severe cropped jackets. In love with the jacket with the protected shoulders which was created by Shaun Leane. Todd Lynn is defiantly a designer we would love to work with in creating a more sophisticated range of footwear.

After Parties!

I love Fashion week, the shows, the people and the parties make it! All thanks to one of my betest friends who is at Village Press managed to get us into some of the best parties of the week- The Fashion Council party at the Dorchester the B store after party........

Finding Unique collaborations for Creative Soles!

Some really great talent and unusual pieces showcased at Sommerset house.. which lead to thinking of unique and inspiring collaborations and projects!... Collaborating with Fred Butler (jewelry designer) incorporating his style into footwear some how?... could truly create masterpieces!

Obssesed with Shoes!

Since working at Creative Soles i am now even more obssed with shoes.... took few snaps of some of my favourites round Fashion week.

You cant help but notice everyone wearing the 10 inch heels... and wondering how the hell they can possible walk in them!..... But we loved the sensible individuals out their wearing their flats with great style!!!!

After years of interning running around backstage and sitting down press and celebrities on front row, being screamed at!! To many this is not a big deal but to me and most of us in fashion the closer you get to the front row the more regonised you are in industry! I mean do you ever see Anna Wintour back row?? But this Fashion Week was my official turning point which really hit me i am no longer an an intern- My god it felt good!

♥♥ Liberty's

Bringing a store to my home town brusehes off its appeal why go there if you have it back at home?? How i feel over Selfridges, Urban Outfiitters, American apareal etc.... since opening outside London i have yet visited their London Store's. You can see why they do it- PROFIT- but it puts me off the brand making themseleves accessible to the masses. For this makes me loves Liberty's even more. The store is perfection no cornor or retail space has not been thorougly thought through. You can tell each designer has been selected for their crafstmanship and unique cutting edge style. Its the place i have ever been were each item i could pick up admire and Buy! My favourties if i had to pick.....

Liberty have made four beautiful window installations inspired by shoots in the current edition of AnOther Magazine. Looking at the fashion stories – by Gareth McConnell, Nick Knight, Viviane Sassen and Craig McDean – and drew on the colours, forms and atmospheres to create a unique concept for each window.

One of the windows you can see replicas of bank notes defaced by artists Jake and Dinos Chapman. Able to win one of the five originals when you buy a copy of the AnOther Magazine, Love the concept!

London Fashion Week S/S 2010 = Reaserch

While down in London for Fashion Week 2010, used the entire time to reaserch into finding concepts for projects/events working on at present. The Nike store has revolutionised the retail expereince. New concept Nike ID- produced a shop within a shop, truely inspirational in the layout and design- and definatly a concept could work on for up coming trade shows. Able to design your own footwear from the Mac's, with option to save design and complete later at home. Loved the Idea and loved the concept- can definatly take it further in creating something for creative soles.

What was also a really good idea was that within the store had assisted treadmill where you can test out the footwear before purchasing! - Loved the idea.

The Matches pop up store was also a great concept. Selling off bags and t-shirt designs, designed by the designers themselves showing at Sommerset House over the week.
