Stress of packing for LFW!!

Have no time to really pack or shop for LFW, but getting super super excited for the shows and after parties... what really sucks is have limited space.. been checking out NYC Fashion week all morning......

Lace Headpiece

Basic Trim Lace makes this outfit go the extra mile... Packing for London Fashion week is less than ideal having limited luggage space. Trying to really mix and match and bring a vast range of accessories to create a full range of complete different looks which can be dressed up and down.... Taking my DIY lace gloves and head piece i made a while back for definite.

She is rather GaGa

She has moved us away from the main stream and a the bubble world of pop, she has reached out to the masses showcasing couture and high fashion. Her music does not cry originality, but her dress sense goes beyond creativity.... i love the fact she pushes boundaries..... But you cant help but feel has she declared herself an art movement rather than an artist? but at this years VMA's... has she gone a little to far??

Style Note Miuccia Prada for Mui Mui

Black wool scarf with fox fur trim. Single snap front closure. Matching belt. Loop detail on inner side.

Style Note Miuccia Prada is always on the edge of ready to wear bringing new inventions to the fashion conscious masses each season. This scarf is one of them trimed in the season's hot fur trend and with a belt to secure it at your hips. This piece was on thh runway in march...The models wore versions of the look over delicate triangle bras.

Miss Georgia Jagger

Her older sister may have taken the lime light for the past few years... but Georgia is following in her mothers foot steps. I am in love with this photoshoot for Hudson jeans campaign, showing the beaut as a 60's replica of a style icon of mine Brigitte Bardot. The campaign has been shot by Mario Sorrenti, who is known for shooting Kate Moss topless for Calvin Klein. The shoot was styled by Camilla Nickerson....

New York Fashion Week in Full force!

Alexander Wang is staying a firm favorite at present with his S/S collection.

American football inspired collection, with elements from lockeroom to pitch were present in the styling alongside reinterpreted staples like gym grey sweaters with corsets. Still in love with key pieces from A/W i would die for any of accessories ranges including...

For menwear Phillip Lim's collection part of the brand 3.1. Whilst being loosely inspired by the beatnik movement, broken down, the collection is full of staples with a twist; loose-fit lambskin tees, shirts with gathered yoke detailing, jackets with hand pick-stitch detailing as well as brogues and boots with detachable ankle strap for those that yearn for stylish subtlety in menswear.

Dior Homme had a beautifully elegant and simplistic version of tailoring that was shown in a market space in the Republique area.

Victoria Beckham A/W collection

She may not be in my top 10 style icons at present, but her A/W 09 range has left me pretty gobsmacked! the body hugging tailored structure is evidently flattering. This may only be her second collection but sales only further suggest her success. What is more impressive is her use of viral short film previewed on dazed digital

Directed by Mat Jerrett and produced by 19 Entertainment. The film has been named 'Swings' featuring models on a London street, morning noise increases in volume as the models move in unison from swings suspended from porticos and a bus stop, with Beckham herself making an even smaller appearance than she did in the last film, perhaps to deliberately highlight her collection as opposed to herself.

Im impressed Mrs Beckham!

To a select, and almost exclusively British, press, Victoria Beckham unveiled her third collection for S/S in New York on Sunday 13th. This season there were some new ways with the corset dress, and shimmery grey grosgrain ribbon, pink crêpe and heavy black Lycra fabrics were used throughout. A hand-crocheted lace dress, made entirely of one piece of fabric, which was sculpted at the breast, nipped in at the waist and then flared out in the skirt, was the standout piece of the collection.
