The Outcome of the Collard Manson Photoshoot.

... From the New Year each Platform issue I am going to be putting together phootshoots working with Trent Faces and Talent, but also work with Nottingham’s High Street to create partnerships and support. For the first shoot worked with the new boutique Collard Manson which has recently expanded from Sheffield and opened its doors here in Nottingham. The boutique is defiantly one of the most welcoming and enticing boutiques outside London, with the feel like your in more in someone's bedroom.

Manager Kate Uzzell lists points of inspiration for the store including Cyndi Lauper, St Petersburg, Gaudi, Vivienne Westwood, MIA, Audrey Hepburn, Edward Hopper, New Delhi, and it goes on..... A mix you would not necessarily put together put some how its really works. Marion Cotillard was named as the main style icon fas an idealistic women they would dress.

Antique French Chandeliers hang from the ceiling, and clothing and jewels are displayed in magnificent wardrobes and display cabinets. Selling every day items such as jewelry , chocolate, stationary and clothing. But chocolate wrapped in vintage looking crystal covered wrapping and at the cost of £10 for one bar- just demonstrates that extra special product offering that Collard Manson brings.

Brands Stocked
Arrogant Cat, Day Birger et Mikkelson, Moloko, Studio Rundholtz, Mawi, Dimitriadis,Tatty Devine, Rings Eclectic, Michal Negrin, Les Cakes de Bertrand,Johnny loves Rosie, Becksondergaard and more unique brands are offered within. They even stock their own beautifully crafted bags and purses.

Photoshoot
When it came to the photoshoot it was quiet obvious that wanted to bring an unusual edge. Main point of inspiration was taken from the photoshoot within Italian Vogue September 2008 issue. Socialite Daphne Guinness is photographed by legionary photographer Steven Klein who captures a representation of couture with a modern feel. A look we tried to undertake and reconstruct. Further inspiration for the shoot was also taken from key clothing items from Dolce and Gabbana Feather and silk tulle dress and the Queen Dress designed by Giles as well as head dresses designed by Louis Vuitton in 2008.

Muse Cong Fashion design Student from Trent provided to be the perfect model for the shoot. Her petit features and perfect skin provided a great contrast. If you feel you have a unique and distinctive look, and would like to model for up and coming Fashion shoots please get in touch- We also are seeking talented photography students and even clothing if you wish to showcase your talents in a printed publication.
